ACTING

 We welcome all actors, no matter how much experience you may have! Our auditions are open to all JHU students (including students at the Peabody Institute and graduate students). Preparing for auditions varies by production - that information will be included in our emailed audition call.

The JHU Barnstormers also perform the only musical on the Homewood campus - if you enjoy musical theatre, come check us out!

     The Barnstormers is a theatre organization completely unique from any other that I have been a part of. Every Barnstormers company that I have had the pleasure to work with has become like family to me. This family is one that cultivates creativity and gives each individual a space to explore, experiment with, and expand their skill sets. As an actor, I am but one small aspect of a show, but I have learned a great deal about every aspect that goes into putting on an amazing show because of the deeply collaborative nature of the Barnstormers. I have also been given the opportunity to learn more about who I am as an actor through every new role that I take on and the challenges it inevitably brings: I know the cast and crew will be there to catch me if I stumble and cheer me on when I succeed.
