O-Show Submissions
1. Brandon Weber: At Home in the Zoo by Edward Albee • 3 characters • Well-known show • Just worked with him as a director for Doctor In Spite of Himself 2. Jake Budenz: Every Good Boy Deserves Favor by Tom Stoppard • 6 characters (possible double-casting), issues with cast size • Interesting story line • Issues with needing orchestra and specific music. There is a CD for $70. • Issues with finding rights, but Victoria called Samuel French and they have it ($125 for 3 performances) 3. Erika Rodriguez: Stop Kiss by Diana Son • 7 characters (possible double-casting), issues with cast size • “Vision” section of submission was vague • Rights issues because this play will be at Fells Point Circle Theater in the Fall 4. Lien Le: The Coming World by Christopher Shinn • 2 characters • Minimalist set, possibly too minimalist for Swirnow and the O-Show budget? Other Topics 1. The JHU Website • 1and1.com • Weebly.com (Stephanie King will create a test page to see how it looks) 2. Redo listserv. Make a new “Barnstormers Members” group and transfer the ones we need. Then email everyone else and tell them we’ll add them if they want to be added. 3. Distinguishing duties between Secretary and Publicity Manager • Secretary: keep meeting minutes, emails between board members and other board members, upload meeting minutes to website, keep website updated with constitution and pictures • Publicity Manager: print advertisements, facebook events, update website for audition and show announcements 4. Publicity Manager (new ideas) • Look into advertising with Baltimore Newspaper and Centerstage • Retrieve press mailing list from Jayme • Banners on the breezeway • Rehearsal pictures to facebook and website • Poster design competition
