Tory Haltermann '14 & Mandi Leininger '13- Directors of Cindy and Julie
It's our first time involved in FOAs and we couldn't be having more fun! New family tree!!!!!!!!! (Hope to keep it alive.) We found a one act (that couldn't match our personalities any better) and we were thrilled to get right down to work. After long hours of auditioning and casting we called our three (lovely) actors to offer them parts....thankfully they all accepted. :) One of the struggles with FOAs is the short time frame. We have had some issues with this....like waiting for our costumes to arrive snail mail. (Don't worry everything made it- no one will be naked on stage.) Now everything is coming together: we have a set, our actors are off book, and the characters are coming to life. So excited.
You think you know fariy tales....but you don't!
Come to FOAs to find out the truth about happily (n)ever after.

Victoria Schroeter ’14 –Producer

I love producing. Granted, sometimes keeping track of the budget,
getting rights, making contact sheets, and organizing tech weeks can be really
stressful. But I get to help a production become the final product that
audiences see. I’m there from when the Executive Board discusses and decides
what One-Acts will be in FOAs, to when we strike the set and organize props
after the last show.
Producing FOAs is a tricky situation. With five One-Acts going up
this year, it takes a lot of planning and organization. During tech week, some
days we have each One-Act having an allotted time in Arellano to work, and
closer to opening night we do run-throughs of the whole show. We decide who
moves what in between each One-Act. But I’m really excited this year, I think we
have a great group of directors and fabulous freshmen actors!
So come out and see all our hard work pay off!
FOAs are Friday October 12th
and Saturday October 13th
at 8pm, and Sunday October 14th at 3pm in Arellano Theater. Admission is $1 with a J-card, $2 without.
See you there!
