Dunbar Baldwin-Hughes Theater Black and multicultural theater
The Dunbar Baldwin Hughes Theater Company is the first and only Black and multicultural theater company at Johns Hopkins University. Witness Theater student-written theater
Witness Theater is Johns Hopkins’ entirely student-run theater group, producing plays written and workshopped by students with opportunities for writers, directors, actors, and people interested in all aspects of technical theater. Witness produces one mainstage production and one smaller show per semester.
The Buttered Niblets improv comedy
The Buttered Niblets is Johns Hopkins best (and only) improv group, working tirelessly to produce the Finest Quality Improvised Comedy (FQIC). The Nibs do shows roughly once a month in the Arellano Theater, with both short form games and long form improv.
Throat Culture sketch comedy
Throat Culture is Hopkins’ best (and only!) sketch comedy group, writing, producing, and performing SNL-style sketches while having a lot of fun in the process. Throat Culture holds 2-3 shows per year and has weekly sketch workshopping meetings.
Stand-Up Comedy Club stand-up comedy
The Stand-Up Comedy Club's mission is to spread laughter and understanding throughout campus and the great cosmos. The club has performances throughout the semester and weekly meetings to workshop jokes, and anyone is welcome to join and learn the art of comedy.
