OUR SEASON LINEUP
The JHU Barnstormers produce six shows per academic year. Learn a bit about each of them below!
ORIENTATION SHOW
O-Show is the first production of the year. The show consists of one-act productions put on by each theater group in the Hopkins community, giving freshman a sense of their options. FRESHMEN ONE ACTS (FOAs) FOAs are a great opportunity for freshmen to get involved in our group. Only freshmen can audition, and upperclassmen direct them in a collection of short plays in Arellano Theater. No acting experience is required! FALL MAINSTAGE The fall mainstage is the first professionally directed production of the year. The play is selected by our general assembly members. Recent fall mainstages include Hamlet (2021), Little Women (2020), The Curious Savage (2019), and The Laramie Project (2018). |
INTERSESSION SHOW (I-SHOW)
I-Show is a student directed play that holds rehearsals over the course of Intersession. The show opens in early February. Recent I-Show productions include She Kills Monsters (2022), Clue (2021), Uncle Vanya (2020), and The Wolves (2019). SPRING MUSICAL A professional director and musical director are hired for the Spring Musical. It is selected via the same process as the Fall Mainstage. Recent musicals include Into the Woods (2022), The Drowsy Chaperone (2021), and Cabaret (2019). SPRING SHOWCASE Showcase changes from year to year and is decided upon during the spring semester! |
